Bought it through Amazon for $197 and it load and runs fast!

The down side is there is no web cam like it said in the description, but for $197 it beats any netbooks out there. Great bang for your buck!

This is a capable laptop. I bought one for my father when it was only sale for $299.99 one morning at like 2:30am central time. I set it up for him and I have been using it and it performs very well… sad to say almost too well when compared to my 2007 MacBook.

I would recommend it to anyone. In the sub 300 dollar range you can’t get anything better. The screen has a very nice resolution and widescreen picture. The HDMI port and 5in1 card reader are nice additions. There really are no draw backs that I can see. I waited at Walmart for two similar HP laptips on black Friday… granted they are a bit different, but bottom line… waiting in line for 8hrs or just buying it with one click shopping on Amazon…. ummm I would take amazon any day.

I would put a value on this computer around $350 dollars… maybe more depending on how badly I would want one. If you can get it cheaper than that BUY IT!!! Compared to a stripped down netbook versus this very nicely equipped HP model… hands down get the HP!!!!

Bottom Line: nicely equipped, every day laptop. That is good for at home or possibly on the go. I wish it went past its lackluster looks design wise… but it still performs great and is a good price.

I won this laptop on lightening deal on black Friday. It was worth stalking the net to get a deal like this, I received it today, and got started. It is amazing, definite 5 star for the price. Thanks Amazon!!!!

I got this laptop for $197, but I think even at the regular price of around $350 it’s a nice “starter” laptop. The display is bright and clear (widescreen), the sound is amazing (how do these little speakers put out that sound?), and the “build quality” seems solid and sturdy. Because it’s a single core processor and has limited memory, I wouldn’t suggest this computer as a primary system for most people. It’s a great second computer to check email and surf the internet. I am impressed with the card slot and HDMI out. It even appears to have a built in modem for those who are still on dial up! Also happy that it has built-in wireless.

The specs on the HP site say it’s about 7 pounds… feels like more than that to me but I haven’t weighed it. I would NOT want to carry this around as a work laptop on airplanes etc as it’s too heavy for travel in my opinion.

Out of the box it was very easy to set up, and so far I am happy with this laptop.

This laptop delivers on performance and function. Who said you have to pay a lot get to get a lot. Don’t be fooled by the Celeron label…normally I would stay away from Celeron go with its bigger brother Pentium. But in this case, with its upgraded W7 OS this computer diver on performance any normal user can enjoy. Don’t just look at the Gigahertz and Gigabytes…think about what your daily function will require. If you are not a heavy gamer or a super duper tech savvy guy who will ping the living crap out of a processor…this laptop will more than satisfy your daily activities for the next several years.

    Pro: Price and performance

    Con: Battery life

I bought this on “Black Friday” but missed out on the $197 deal. I got it for $299, But still, I think I got a good deal. Amazon shipped it in 3 days and during the mean time, I read reviews where people said there wasn’t any webcam. I’ve never had one and even though that would have been a great plus, I’m still happy with the computer. Hd quality screen, Windows 7 os, numeric keyboard. I was up and running in about an hour after copying my files from my external hd. I’m happy. I’m in school and keep most of my work work on a flash drive, so the size of the hd doesn’t bother me to much.

Excellent laptop, but i am sad, it was stolen in my country. You can buy this computer without any fear, it is great and also the price.

Purchased this as a “lightning deal” on Black Friday. Cheaper than a comparable computer at the big box stores, (plus there was no sales tax and free shipping). While not a powerhouse computer, it’s great for surfing the web, e-mail and word processing.

I love this laptop. It has everything I need, which isn’t much, and for a great price. Very fast delivery. Excellent quality.

My daughter loves this computer–she found it dependable, easy to operate and the price was excellent–only problems she encountered were with the operating system–Windows 7–the rest of the world was not quite ready for this I guess but having that preloaded and price included sold me–and most of the operating issues have now been resolved–I could and would recommend this computer to anyone!
